Matthew J. Kitka, 27, of Muncy, died Wednesday, July 4, 2012, at the Muncy Valley Hospital Emergency Room.
Born Nov. 3, 1984, in Bloomsburg, he was a son of Andrew and Linda Peterman Kitka.
Matthew was employed at Data Paper, Muncy for over 10 years. He was a very talented individual who could fix anything. Matthew was an outdoor enthusiast who enjoyed hiking and camping and spending time with his family, especially his nieces and nephews.
Surviving are his mother, Linda (John) Danner of Benton; his father, Andrew (Barbara) Kitka of Hughesville; Fiance, Alyson Bitler of Muncy; three brothers, Nathan (Shauna) Kitka of Unityville, Christopher Kitka of Hughesville and Bryan Reamer of Danville; two sisters, Kiersten Kitka of Hughesville and Melissa Carzan of Sunbury; maternal grandmother, June (Bernard) Laughlin of Laurel, Del.; and several nieces and nephews.
Funeral services will be held 7 p.m. Monday at the McCarty-Thomas Funeral Home, 557 E. Water St., Hughesville, with the Rev. Viking Dietrich officiating. Friends may call from 5 to 7 p.m. Monday at the funeral home.
The family will provide the flowers and suggest memorial contributions to the American Heart Association at www.heart.org.
