Mary M. Baker, 87, a resident of Valley View Nursing Home, passed away Wednesday, July 4, 2012.
She was a born Aug. 1, 1924, in Allenwood, the daughter of Bruce and Jennie Achins.
Mary was the wife of the late Lawrence C. Baker, Sr. who passed April 30, 1982.
She was a member of the First Baptist Church.
Mary had worked 15 years at West Co. in Montgomery and later retired from Hills Department Store in 1986.
She loved shopping and animals, especially her dogs.
Mary is survived by two sons, Larry Baker, Jr., of South Williamsport, and Kerry (Cathy) Baker, of Williamsport; three daughters, Sherri (Dean) Britton, of Williamsport, Grace (Nick) Bair, of Jersey Shore and Bonnie (Don) Barrett, of South Williamsport; 11 grandchildren; and 19 great-grandchildren.
In keeping with her wishes there will be a private service at the convenience of the family.
In lieu of flowers, the family suggests donations can be made to the S.P.C.A., 2805 Reach Road, Williamsport, PA 17701.
The family would like to thank all the people at Valley View for all the care and love they gave our mother, especially 100 hall.
