Sean Farley always is thinking about ways to organize the music scene in Williamsport.
Musician and owner of Guitarley's, 40 W. Fourth St., Farley knows musicians are good at more than just one thing. In addition to playing music, he can make and repair guitars.
What he wants to do is gather the skills of musicians into one place so they have a hub of expertise that could include photography, videography, social media, area venues and more.

By getting all of the information together, it could "enrich and grow the music scene around here," Farley said.
The idea has been something he has been playing around with for about two months, ever since two of his musician friends were talking back and forth on the social media website Twitter, which allows users to publicly write short messages to other users.
Farley saw the conversation and said he wanted to be part of the "cool club," which sparked the idea.
Names he has been playing with include Cool Club or Cool Town, in tribute to Billtown.
The idea is something that has been done previously and successfully in the business world.
"I just want to apply it to rock and roll," he said.
The musicians could meet in his shop or in other places, which would allow for an open-house type atmosphere, giving the musician an opportunity to do more business.
There are no specific goals for when he wants it to happen, as he has to balance the goals with his shop's goals.
"I'm talking to musicians," he said. "Making mental notes if they would be good for the club."
If done correctly, the organization could grown regionally.
"It could be a full-blown non-profit organization," Farley said. "There's a lot of possibilities and a lot of work. It's something that should be here."
