The Kuei-Shan Little?League from Taoyuan?County, Chinese Taipei, earned the first berth in the 2012 Little?League World Series on Sunday by defeating Hong Kong?(China)?Little?League, 12-2, in the Asia-Pacific Region championship game.
The second-time qualifier for the World Series won all four of its pool-play games in the seven-day, eight-team region tournament that was played in Taichung?City, Chinese Taipei.
Kuei-Shan was the Asia-Pacific Region Champion in 2009, losing in the World Series to Chula Vista, Calif., 6-3.
The Little League World Series is scheduled for August 16-26 this year.
