Interpreting Jesus

July 11, 2012
Williamsport Sun-Gazette

This is in reply to Dan Mason, who wanted us to examine the "mythology" of the story of the adulteress woman. This is not a myth. It is truth from the Bible. Perhaps you should read it so you could define fact from myth. You claim that Jesus let the citizens decide for themselves the fate of the woman. The fact is Jesus began writing their sins in the dirt and as each one recognized these sins in themselves, they walked away.

As for Jesus voting pro-choice, this could never be. To vote pro-choice would be going against His commandment, "thou shall not kill." As we know, pro-choice or supporting it, goes against this commandment through abortion. At times, we read in the paper often on the front page about animal abuse. People are outraged and want the fullest punishment the law demands.

When are we going to see an outcry for the abuse of babies through abortion. When are we going to demand that this abuse be stopped. It is true God gave all of us a free will. We can either choose to follow His word, or choose to go against it. Think about the consequence if you are pro-choice in the abortion issue. What excuse are you going to give Him when He asks why you supported the killing of His children through abortion. Think about it.
