Betty J. Peeling Moore, 86, of Williamsport, passed away Sunday, July 8, 2012, at Valley View Nursing Center.
She was born March 2, 1926, in Williamsport, the daughter of John H. and Harriet (Goldy) Peeling.
Betty was the wife of the late Albert H. Moore Jr., with whom she shared 58 years of marriage prior to his passing in 2006.
She was a member of the First United Methodist Church for over 64 years.
Betty loved camping, walking, reading, working on crafts and enjoyed church activities.
She was a hairdresser at the Carroll House from 1946 until 1950.
Betty is survived by two daughters, Cathy (Butch) Livermore of Williamsport and Pamela (Greg) Yaple of Cogan Station, along with two grandchildren, Kassandra Seyler of Williamsport and Gregory Seyler of Altoona.
She was predeceased by a brother.
Betty's Life Celebration memorial service will be held 11 a.m. Thursday, July 12, 2012, at the James C. Maneval Funeral Home, Ltd., "A Life Celebration Home," 500 W. Fourth St., Williamsport, with Rev. Richard D. Waters officiating. Family will receive friends from 10 to 11 a.m. Burial will be in Wildwood Cemetery.
In lieu of flowers, the family suggests memorial contributions can be made to the First United Methodist Church, 604 Market St., Williamsport, PA 17701 or the SPCA, 2805 Reach Road, Williamsport, PA 17701.
