BROOKSIDE - Volunteer firefighters from several communities battled a house fire that destroyed a property at 47 Hughes Road on Tuesday night. The fire broke out about 6:30 p.m. and took more than 90 minutes to bring under control.
It was initially reported as a porch fire, but the fire had quickly spread throughout the house when firefighters reached the scene. There were no reports of injuries. Further details were unavailable.
