Roundup: Loyalsock has two Top 3 golfers at PA?Junior Golf

Taylor Krout of the Williamsport Country Club placed third in the Championship Flight with a 233, 16 strokes behind the leader, Madelein?Herr of the Jericho?National Golf Course. Krout shot a 77 on the final day at the event, held at the Williamsport Country Club.

Taylor Daskivich, also of the Williamsport Country Club, finished second in the?First Flight, shooting a 262, just six strokes behind Jacqueline Oggero of the Hershey Country Club. Daskivich shot an 85 on the the final day of the event, one stroke behind Oggero.

Newberry collected 10 hits en route to an 8-5 victory over Keystone in the District 12 10-11-year-old baseball tournament.

Renard Short went 2 for 3 with a double and home run while Colton?Lovell had two RBIs in the win for Newberry. Newberry plays Loyalsock next at Volunteer Stadium on Friday for the championship.

Matt Worth, Dayton Thompson and Joe Schurer combined to five-hit Brandon en route to securing an 18-1 win over Brandon. Tom Cullen, who caught all four innings, went 2 for 3.

Newberry's 9-10-year-old all-stars avoided an early exit in Sectionals, scoring nine runs over the final three innings to defeat Selinsgrove, 10-3, and advance into the losers' bracket final. Dakota Hill went 2 for 3 with a home run while Rashad Brown finished going 2 for 2.

Rey Adames pitched 2 2-3 innings of one-hit relief and had a based-loaded triple in Milton's 8-run, sixth inning to propel Milton to a 12-5 win over Montoursville in American?Legion Baseball.

Montoursville starter Christian Clark kept Milton at bay through the first five innings, holding Milton?to only five hits.
