Ecumenical luncheon

United Churches Wednesday noon ecumenical lunches are held each week of the school year and once in the summer at Pine Street United Methodist Church, 441 Pine St. This Wednesday, the Rev. Larry Waltz, president of the Blooming Grove Historical Society, will speak about "Our German Heritage: Circa 1828." A serving of a catered $6 lunch begins at 11:45 a.m. in the church fellowship hall. Free parking is available in the lot north of the church.

Devotion line

The United Churches telephone devotion line is available 24 hours a day by calling 322-5762. The devotionalist next week will be the Rev. Georgianna Welch. Welch is a member of the Maple Street AME Zion Church in Williamsport.
