Walter "Cookie" Smith, 83, passed away peacefully at his home in Chicago, Ill. He was born June 29, 1929, and raised in Williamsport, Pa.
He is preceded in death by his parents, Ernest and Mabel Smith; his brothers, Ernest Jr., Robert, Leonard, David; and his sisters, Hannah White, Beatrice Pierce and Mabel Brown.
Walter is survived by his wife, Gloria; five children and several grandchildren; brother, Carl, in Tucson, Ariz.; and a host of family and friends.
