In a plea agreement Thursday, Stanley E. Helt II, 44, of 1296 Dunkard Church Road, Cogan Station, pleaded guilty to a city police charge of disorderly conduct for firing a gun into the ground at Penn and Ross about 2:30 a.m. on April 7.
Two men were "in close proximity" to Helt when he fired the shot, police said. After Helt pled guilty before District Judge Allen P. Page III, police agreed to withdraw charges of recklessly endangering and simple assault.
Helt made arrangements to pay $349 in fines and courts.
