Rooftop camera IDs hit-run suspect

July 16, 2012
Williamsport Sun-Gazette

A video camera on a rooftop helped lead city police determine the identity of a hit-run driver, according to court records.

Rebekah S. Dimassimo, 22, of 317 Locust St., has been charged with accidents involving damage to attended vehicle and three summary violations for allegedly fleeing the scene after her car and a Jeep driven by Angela Cradle collided about 11:20 p.m. on April 26, police said.

A video camera mounted on the top of a building at that intersection recorded the crash help lead police to DiMassimo, who has been sent a summons to appear before District Judge James Carn.
