Brian Pointer's two-out triple - his first of the season - in the top of the 11th inning scored Yan Olmo and gave the Williamsport Crosscutters a 6-5 victory over the Auburn Doubledays on Tuesday night.
Auburn pushed the game-tying run to second base after a Roman Quinn error - his 15th of the season - but Geoff Broussard retired the last two Doubledays he faced, including Shawn Pleffner by strikeout to end the game.
The win was the Cutters' second in eight games.
Quinn and Cameron Perkins, the first two hitters in the Williamsport lineup, combined for six hits. Quinn scored three runs and Perkins knocked in three.
Olmo, Pointer and Chace Numata each had two hits.
Chris Nichols earned his first win. He pitched three scoreless innings before handing the ball over to Broussard, who picked up his second save.
