On July 2, Albright LIFE (Living Independently For Elders) celebrated its fourth birthday with games, a staff appreciation event and a special certificate presentation.
Balloons, streamers and tissue paper decorations in uplifting colors adorned the LIFE Center, 901 Memorial Ave., inside and out.
The day started with a good old-fashioned bean bag toss - participants took turns throwing the bean bags at the score board to get the highest score possible.
Staff did the same, except they were either blind-folded or stood with their backs towards the score board.
To show their appreciation to the staff, the participants decided to play a game of charades. Several participants acted out scenes that represented an employee's job or personal characteristics.
The LIFE Center was filled with laughter, smiles and some tears as the participants performed charades for the employees.
Next, the participants read handmade cards with personal notes to express their gratitude to the employees for the wonderful job they do.
As a "Top Secret Project" with the activities director, Sue Berta, the participants made pins and earrings out of Sculpt Clay for the employees. A fun day of activities was enjoyed by all.
