Kenneth R. Weaver Sr.

Kenneth R. Weaver Sr., 69, beloved husband, father, Pop Pop, of Williamsport, passed away on Tuesday, July 17, 2012, at the Williamsport Regional Medical Center.

Born Feb. 23, 1943, in Williamsport, he was the son of Kenneth Roy Weaver and Marion H. (Davis) Weaver-Finnegan. He married Donna A. Boyer and they would have celebrated 40 years together on September 9.

Kenny was a Navy veteran of the Vietnam War. He worked as a plasterer for various local construction companies, Bethlehem Steel for 17 years, International Paper Company and retired from the East Lycoming School District in 2005. Kenny enjoyed fishing at Rose Valley Lake, hunting, woodworking and home projects, especially landscaping and showing off his yard. He was an avid football fan. Kenny was always telling jokes and loved being with family, grandchildren and his dog, Kirbi. He took pride in everything he did, was loved by many and had many friends.

Surviving, in addition to his wife, are two daughters, Kerri L. (Eric) Kime of Williamsport and Shannon R. (Brian) Siperko of Hughesville; a son, Kenneth R. (Jennifer) Weaver Jr. of Williamsport; four grandchildren, Evan and Emily Kime, and Luke and Sydney Siperko; three sisters, Marsha J. Knapp and Margo L. Fox, both of Williamsport, and Jeanine M. Hall of South Williamsport; and many nieces and nephews.

Visitation will be held from 6 to 8 p.m. Friday, July 20, at Sanders Mortuary, 821 Diamond St. Funeral services will be held at 11 a.m. Saturday at Central Baptist Church, 601 Seventh Ave., Williamsport. Burial will be held in Green Lawn Memorial Park at the convenience of the family.

In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to Central Baptist Church.
