Dennis W. Greenawalt, 61, of Williamsport, died on Tuesday, July 17, 2012, at his home.
Born May 4, 1951, in Williamsport, he was a son of William H. and Doris Greenawalt. He married Mary E. Shaffer and they would have celebrated 33 years together on August 4.
Dennis graduated from Williamsport High School in 1970 and from Penn College as an LPN. He was a Navy veteran of the Vietnam War. Dennis was a member of American Legion Post No. 617, John F. Laedlein Lodge No. 707 F.&A.M. He enjoyed watching TV, especially the Green Bay Packers, and spending time with his family.

VETERAN
Surviving, in addition to his wife, are a son, Christopher (Katie) Greenawalt of Williamsport; a daughter, Heather Greenawalt of Williamsport; six grandchildren, Michael Gramley, Cody Michael, MaKayla Greenawalt, Chase Kerschner, Clara Derr and Tristan Keyte; a brother, William E. (Debra) Greenawalt of Williamsport; and a sister, Terry (Michael) Johnson of Jersey Shore.
A visitation will be held 10 to 11 a.m. Saturday, July 21, at Sanders Mortuary, 821 Diamond St., Williamsport, followed by a memorial service at 11 a.m. Burial will be at Green Lawn Memorial Park with military honors by the Korean War Veterans of Lycoming County.
In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions are suggested to Southern Care Hospice, 1544 E. Third St., Williamsport, PA 17701.
