Williamsport Sun-Gazette

MANSFIELD - Thomas R. Lehman, 41, of 719 Wood Road, was charged by state police with criminal mischief after he allegedly drove his Jeep through another man's hay field May 22.

According to documents filed at District Judge James Carlson's office, Lehman also was charged with simple assault and harassment because of what happened after the property owner, Wayne R. Reisler Jr., of 1241 Bryant Road, Richmond Township, followed him to find out who was trespassing on his property.

Lehman allegedly drove Reisler off the road.

Reisler got out of his truck, grabbing his rifle and not recognizing Lehman at first.

After he realized who he was, he attempted to talk to him, but Lehman and three other men jumped out of the Jeep.

Lehman allegedly grabbed the rifle, hit Reisler in the face with it and then hit his windshield before driving away.

Lehman was issued a summons to appear at an Aug. 1 preliminary hearing.
