TODAY

Come and see cafe

Come and see cafe will be held from 9-11 a.m. at Redeemer Lutheran Church, 1101 Washington Blvd. Enjoy a beverage and free refreshments. Children will be kept entertained in the kid's korner with quiet activities and healthy snacks.

SUNDAY

Free movie

WOOLRICH - Woolrich Community United Methodist Church, 1080 Park Ave., will show the feature film "Courageous" at 7 p.m. in the fellowship hall. Doors open at 6:30 p.m. Refreshments will follow.

Outdoor service set

LARRYVILLE - Larryville United Methodist Church, Larryville Road, will hold its annual outdoor services with Sunday School at 9:30 a.m. and morning worship at 10:30 a.m. A picnic lunch will follow the service. Bring a covered dish and place settings. The meat (hot dogs) will be provided.

Camp meeting

Evangelist David Morris, of Raleigh, N.C., will be the guest speaker during the 76th Stabler's Grove Camp Meeting. Services will be held from 7-9 p.m. each day. Special music will be provided by Trinity, Sunday; Winnie Schweikart, Monday; ADIEL, Tuesday; Amy Peck, Wednesday; Harlan and Pat Bower, Thursday; Rejoice, Friday; Crosswyre, Saturday; and Brumgarts, Sunday. A canned and dry food collection will be held each night with youth night, including a hot dog roast following the service, on Saturday. From Route 220 between Williamsport and Jersey Shore, follow signs to Stabler's Grove at either Pine Run or Queneshaque roads, or from Route 973 east of Salladasburg, take Jobs Run Road. For more information, call 398-4469. The ecumenical ministry is sponsored by the Sunday School Association of Lycoming County, District 11.

Barbecue buffet

PENNSDALE - Pennsdale Trinity United Methodist Church, 658 Village Road, will hold an all-you-can-eat barbecue buffet catered by Springman's Country Store of Pennsdale from 4-7 p.m. The menu includes ham and pulled turkey barbecue with sides, beverages and homemade desserts. Cost is $10 for adults, $5 for children age 5-10 and free for those under 5. Takeouts available.

Holy Spirit Parish Fair

LOCK HAVEN - The first Holy Spirit Parish Fair will be held from 5-10 p.m. at Holy Spirit Parish, 3 E. Walnut St. Food booths open at 5 p.m. and games at 6 p.m. A special Mass of thanksgiving will be held at 4 p.m. Saturday at St. Agnes Church. Rain date is noon-6 p.m. Sunday. The fair is co-sponsored by members of St. Agnes and Immaculate Conception churches.

FRIDAY

Dinner and show

The story of Sojourner Truth, as told by international storyteller Denise Valentine, will be performed at Pine Street United Methodist Church, 441 Pine St. A dinner, presented by Hillside Catering and featuring chicken en croute, red-skin potatoes with lemon chive butter, green beans, tossed salad with a choice of dressing, rolls and butter, beverage and dessert, will begin at 6 p.m. with the show at 7:30 p.m. Cost for the dinner and show is $20 and for the show only is $7. Free community dinner

St. Paul-Calvary United Methodist Church, 1427 Memorial Ave., will hold a free community dinner at 5:30 p.m. featuring sloppy joes, barbecue, hot dogs, mac and cheese, fruit and dessert.
