Police: Dead mother’s credit card used

July 21, 2012
Williamsport Sun-Gazette

MANSFIELD - Kelly A. Rumsey, 39, of 343 N. Williamson Road, Blossburg, was charged recently by state police with theft and access device fraud for using a credit card that belonged to her deceased mother.

According to documents filed at District Judge James Carlson's office, Rumsey took Donna A. McCloskey's wallet after she died and used the card, which also had Timothy J. Taft's name - her mother's boyfriend - on it. Rumsey allegedly used it on May 14 to purchase $171 in merchandise.

She was issued a summons to appear Wednesday for a preliminary hearing.
