New lawyer

for city firm

The Mitchell Gallagher law firm announces long-time Williamsport attorney Robert A. Seiferth has joined the firm as a shareholder.

Most recently, Seiferth was a shareholder with the Williamsport office of Marshall, Dennehey, Warner, Coleman & Goggin, which closed at the end of June.

Seiferth has more than 30 years of civil litigation experience, litigating complex cases in Lycoming and neighboring counties, as well as in federal court.

He is a certified federal mediator with an active private mediation and arbitration practice.

Seiferth graduated cum laude from Yale University in 1971 and from Duquesne University School of Law in 1974, and has been a member of the Pennsylvania Bar since 1974. He and his wife, Alice, reside in Williamsport. Their son Adam is an attorney in Harrisburg. Their son Abram resides in New York City where he works in the music industry.

Woodlands Bank names vice president

Jon P. Conklin, CPA, recently was named vice president and chief operating officer of Woodlands Bank.

Employed at Woodlands Bank since June 2010, following 10 years in public accounting, Conklin is responsible for overseeing the bank's finance and accounting, credit administration, risk management, information technology, deposit operations, and consumer and mortgage lending functions.

He holds a bachelor of science degree in Accounting from the Pennsylvania State University and attained accreditation as a certified public accountant from the Pennsylvania Board of Accountancy in 2003.

Conklin also is a graduate of the Financial Managers School at the Graduate School of Banking, University of Wisconsin Madison and is attending a 15-month Executive Leadership Program sponsored by the Pennsylvania Bankers Association.

Involved in the local community, Conklin currently serves as the vice-chairman for finance for the Bald Eagle District of the Susquehanna Council, Boy Scouts of America as well as a board member for In Your Shoes, a local not-for-profit organization. He also is a member of the Lock Haven Lions Club and the Pennsylvania College of Technology Accounting Advisory Board. Conklin was also recently chosen to serve on the Board of Directors of the Pennsylvania College of Technology Foundation.

Conklin resides in Woolrich with his wife Becky and their daughter Harper Shea.

Company names month's employee

Brian Krick was recently recognized as the May Employee of the Month at Construction Specialties Inc., Muncy.

During an office move from Muncy to Hughesville, Krick came in early and worked late to make sure that all IT systems were running smoothly, a news release from the company said. His responsiveness, focus, and great work ethic are qualities that, according to the news release help to make C/S an awesome company with which to do business. Krick is a valued employee to Construction Specialties and the business is honored to have him as May Employee of the Month.

Bank picks manager for commercial loans

John J. Engel Jr. recently was named vice president and commercial loan division manager of Woodlands Bank. Engel replaces Andrew W. Baker Jr. who will retire at year-end. Engel will oversee business lending and business development at the Bank. With John's guidance, exemplary service to the business community will continue to set Woodlands Bank apart from many other financial institutions in the region.

Engel joined Woodlands Bank in 2008 as Assistant vice president and commercial lender. He is a graduate of both the Pennsylvania Banker's Association Advanced School of Banking and the School of Commercial Lending from Bucknell University. He is president of the South Williamsport Area School Board and serves on the South Williamsport Little League board. Enge lresides in South Williamsport with his wife, Christine, and their children, Serena and Dillon.
