WELLSBORO - A state Fish and Boat Commission Family Paddling program will take place from 3 to 5 p.m. Aug. 12 at Hills Creek State Park.
The program is a two-hour event designed for participants ages 12 and older.
It will begin with on-land instruction and end with water paddling experience.
The program will introduce the basics of kayaking and the fun you can have when paddling together.
All equipment is provided. Families will learn about water safety, equipment needed, basic paddling techniques and will have the opportunity to paddle a portion of Hills Creek lake while discovering fascinating features the park has to offer through a presentation provided by Hills Creek State Park staff.
