Jean O. Weaver

Jean O. Weaver, 77, of 93 Rock Run Road, Cogan Station, died Sunday, July 22, 2012, at the Williamsport Regional Medical Center, following a brief illness.

Jean and her husband, Lawrence R. Weaver Jr., were married for 60 years.

Jean was a member of Memorial Baptist Church, enjoyed camping, fishing, hunting and canning.

Jean especially loved spending time with her grandchildren and great-grandchildren.

Born Oct. 19, 1934, in Williamsport, she was the daughter of Jesse B. and Martha O. Sanders Cochran. Surviving, in addition to her husband, are sons, Alan "Butch" R. (Deb) and David L. (Christine), both of Williamsport, Jesse L. (Susan) of Levittown and Lawrence R. (Becky) III of Cogan Station; daughters, Patricia J. (Edward) Gee and Barbara E. Weaver, both of Williamsport, and Margaret L. Buck of Roaring Branch; brother, David S. (Josephine) Cochran of Williamsport; sister, Edith (Glen) Sitler of Halifax; 19 grandchildren; six stepgrandchildren; 22 great-grandchildren; and 14 stepgreat-grandchildren.

Jean was predeceased by brothers, Jesse D. and Harry Cochran; son-in-law, Donald Buck; granddaughter, Jennifer L. Powell; and a stepgrandson, Steven M. Buck.

Funeral services will be at 11 a.m. Thursday at Knight-Confer's, 1914 Memorial Ave., with the Rev. Timothy R. Kinney Sr. officiating. There will be a visitation from 10 a.m. until the time of the service. Burial will be at Twin Hills Memorial Park.
