Police allegedly find synthetic drugs in car after traffic stop in Wellsboro

WELLSBORO - Ashley J. Jiminez, 19, of 1845 Valley Road, Mansfield, was charged by borough police with possession of a controlled substance after police allegedly found synthetic marijuana during a traffic stop.

Jiminez and Mat Wilson were found unconscious in a vehicle parked outside of 3 Hastings St. on July 13, according to documents filed at District Judge Rob Repard's office.

During a search of the car, police allegedly found a glass pipe with residue on it and two black, 10-gram packets of Avalanche synthetic marijuana, a Mountain Dew wrapper containing synthetic marijuana and a used "roachclip" in the ashtray.

There also allegedly was a one-gram packet labled Brain Storm containing synthetic marijuana on Wilson, police said.

Jiminez was issued a summons for an Aug. 14 preliminary hearing.
