MANSFIELD - Jamie L. Nagy, 20, of 169 Tioga River Road, Tioga, was charged by state police with theft and receiving stolen property for allegedly taking a relative's tools to a local pawn shop.
Nagy allegedly stole the tools from his step-father-in-law Timothy Wood's residence at 12295 Route 287, Tioga Township, on June 30 and July 3, according to documents filed at District Judge James Carlson's office.
Wood also noticed several tools and equipment missing from an area he farms along Route 287 near the Elms Tavern. He said one of his employees said his missing tools were at a pawn shop in Tioga Township.
Wood said he went to the shop, where he discovered his drill, two chain binders and a missing pump.
Surveillance video showed Nagy pawning the items.
Nagy was released on $2,500 bail.
