SLATER
Nancy and her second husband were married 27 years on Dec. 22, 2011, moved from Keansburg, N.J. to Memphis, Tenn. seven years ago and made many new friends.
Her greatest joys were son, Petty Officer Sean Godown; wife, Mamen and granddaughter, Norelle, 7, who visited in June from Virginia to be with her.
Looking forward to a reunion trip to N.J. for friends and relatives and 50th reunion.
Her dearest friends, son and husband kept a daily vigil at her side.
She leaves behind her husband; her son and his family; sisters, Joanne (Donald) Harner of Williamsport, Barbara (Dan) Muncell of Denver, Pa., Rebecca Jean of DuBoistown; nieces and nephews; many relatives and stepdaughters, Susan (Brad) Morin, Ariz., Debra (David) Boscola, Doylestown and Leslie and families.
She especially enjoyed her time with the Red Hats, many whom shared taking her to chemo and recent Red Hat functions.
Her ashes will be intered at Pleasant Hill Cemetery next summer when her son, Sean, returns from Afghanistan.
She will be deeply missed.
