There was more than just baseball at Logue Field Friday night. Soon after the game while shaking hands, a fight broke out behind home plate with multiple players. Last year in the Pennsylvania Championship, Bensalem beat Media, however this year was a different story.
Media beat Bensalem, 9-2, and advanced to the Pennsylvania Babe Ruth state championship at 1 today at Logue Field.
In the bottom of the second inning with bases loaded, Media's Rob Brown found himself down in the count with bases loaded. When his team needed him most, Brown delivered with a huge 2 RBI double to deep left field.

Bensalem players are forced back into the dugout after a scuffle broke out on the field after Media defeated Bensalem in the semifinals Friday at Logue Field.
One inning later, Brown found himself in the same situation, down in the count with bases loaded. After already coming up big for his team the inning before, Brown once again delivered. This only difference between this at bat and his previous one is that Brown cleared the bases, giving him 5 RBI in just two at bats.
"There is lot of competition up here and everyone is pretty evenly matched, you just have to play your game and get hot at the right time." Brown said.
Brown wasn't the only one who provided the boost for his team when they needed it. Andrew Sardella also came up big with a 2 RBI single in the bottom of the 6th to basically put the game away. Sardella finished the game 2-2 with two RBI, two walks and three runs.
"I just got hot at the right time I guess and it's a good feeling to beat the team who beat us last year. This feels really good." Sardella said.
Together, the two were 4-4 with eight RBI and did just about everything they could to allow their team to advance. Behind the two, their team played well and despite two errors looked just about unbeatable.
Bensalem did have a lead going into the bottom of the second inning up 1-0, but Media responded quickly and never looked back.
"Andrew is a spunky little player. It's not so much that he likes to win, he just hates to lose. I like kids like that." Said Jim Peel, Medias head coach.
Brown also started the game strong throwing five complete innings before handing the ball over the Ron Dimatteo who struck out five batters in the final two innings to close the game.
"This feels good. We lost to them last year in the finals but beat them up in regional play so we felt we could hang with them if we got good pitching and hitting." Peel said.
