Robert L. Smith Sr., 77, of East Prospect, PA, went to be with the Lord on Tuesday, July 24, 2012, at York Hospital. He is survived by his wife of 26 years, Susan (Grimm) Smith.
Born July 27, 1934, in Penfield, he was the son of Virgil L. and Clara J. Burns Smith. Surviving are sisters Norma J. Koch (Charles) of Cogan Station; Gloria D. Foye (Robert) of Williamsport; Carol E. Rearick (Gene) of Montoursville; and brother Burton L. Smith (Donna R.) of Danville. He was preceded in death by a sister, Kay D. Bower (Thomas).
Robert's children from his first wife, Geraldine E. (Egli) Smith, who is predeceased, include Robert L. Jr. (Esther), Neil L. (Suellen), Kenneth W. (Caroline), Kimberly J. Cramm (Tony), Kellie L. Hill, Thomas G. and Jodi L. Price (Tim). Robert also left behind numerous grandchildren and great-grandchildren.

Bob enjoyed the outdoors, talking to friends and strangers, going to auctions, camping, his dogs, bowling, hunting, and the game of golf. Robert served in the PA National Guard. His last place of employment was Martin Marietta in Baltimore, Md, where he was a skilled machinist.
Memorial service will be held at the convenience of the family.
