Inez R. Whipple, 91, of Williamsport, passed away peacefully with her family by her side on Friday July 27, 2012.
Born March 20, 1921, in Mt. Union, she was a daughter of the late Blaine and Daisy Shore Ramsey.
Inez enjoyed camping and deep sea fishing, especially in Chincoteague, Va. She was a great cook and seamstress.
Inez was a lifelong member of Emmanuel Lutheran Church and a past member of the Order of Eastern Star.
Surviving is her husband of 62 years, Elwood E. Whipple; a daughter, Robin (Tom) Banzhaf; four grandchildren; 15 great-grandchildren; seven great-great-grandchildren, and many nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by a daughter, Linda Abernatha; a son, Jerry Bolinger; a grandson, Timothy; and siblings, Florene Brant, Pauline Varner, and Dean Ramsey.
A funeral service will be held on Tuesday at 11 a.m. at Sanders Mortuary, 821 Diamond St., Williamsport, with her nephew, Dean Ramsey Jr. officiating. There will be a viewing from 10 a.m. until the time of service.
Interment will be in Green Lawn Memorial Park.
