A Texas man has been arrested on a prostitution charge for allegedly offering an undercover city police officer $50 if she performed a sexual act for him, according to court records.
Fernando M. Padron, 43, of Waskom, allegedly made the proposition in the 700 block of Park Avenue about 10:50 p.m. on July 17, police said.
Following his arraignment before District Judge Gary A. Whiteman, Padron was released on $5,000 bail.
