Williamsport Sun-Gazette

MANSFIELD - Neil D. Davis, 38, of Addison, N.Y., charged with receiving stolen property, resisting arrest and retail theft by state police after he allegedly took $28 worth of food and other items from the Pump and Pantry convenience store, 1 N. Main St., Tioga, on July 24.

Davis, who was accompanied by his girlfriend, Samantha Johnson, at the store, returned to the Scenic View Campground, Farmington Township, where the two were staying in a tent, according to documents filed at District Judge James Carlson's office.

Mike Garrahan, manager of the store, also said it was missing a Skil Saw, which had been stolen the previous day. When police went to the campground, they said Davis ran out of a tent and into the woods. He was found after an extensive manhunt about 300 yards from the campsite. The saw was found in his vehicle.

He was jailed in lieu of $25,000 bail and his preliminary hearing set for Aug. 15.
