Edwin L. Sander, 48, of Langhorne, Pa., formerly of Avis, passed away May 3, 2012. Born Dec. 16, 1963, in Williamsport, Pa., to LaRue and Sally Weikert Sander, Ed was a 1982 graduate of Jersey Shore High School and the former Williamsport Area Community College, graduating with a diesel mechanic degree. Ed had been employed as a diesel mechanic for Lucas trucking early in his working career. While living in Langhorne, he was employed as a truck driver and factory worker. Ed was an avid NASCAR, Philadelphia Phillies and Flyers fan. He is survived by three sisters, Debra of Avis, Cynthia (Michael) Bower of Oval, Susan (Lloyd) Kitchen of Charleton, and four brothers, Ronald (Suzanne) of Williamsport, Michael (Sharon) of Linden, Joseph (Kimberly) of Jersey Shore, Richard (Mary) of Jersey Shore. He is also survived by 10 nieces, six nephews, three great nieces, and four great nephews and long time friend, Barb Martin.
A memorial service is planned for noon Saturday, Sept. 1, 2012, at St. James Lutheran Church, Rauchtown, Pa.
