The Williamsport Outlaws have unveiled a seating chart for their new home at Bowman Field.
The ice surface will sit behind home plate and up the first-base line as it provides the best visibility from all angles of the stadium. Rink Specialists, who put the ice facility in Fenway Park in Boston for the NHL Winter Classic, played a key role in the lay out of the rink.
"We feel we found the right place on the infield to lay out the rink which will allow fans to get up close to the action," said Outlaws team president/head coach Chris Firriolo. "The game is very fast and physical and it was a huge priority of ours to make sure our fans feel they are a part of the game. Rich Cubin and his crew at Rink Specialists did an outstanding job laying out the playing surface with our fans in mind."
The ice facility will open around Oct. 15 and it will be open to the public.
Information will be released shortly on a schedule for the use of the ice at Bowman Field for the public.
The Outlaws open the season on Oct. 24 at Bowman Field against the Dayton Devils.
