Mr. and Mrs. James L. Shaner will observe their 60th wedding anniversary Aug. 10, 2012.
They were married by the late Lt. Col. Chaplain Russell Shay in the American Chapel, Wiesbaden, Germany, where Mr. Shaner was stationed in the Air Force. They attend Community Baptist Church, Montoursville.
Mrs. Shaner, the former Shirley A. Wagner, is the daughter of the late Edith and John Wagner, Williamsport. She graduated from Williamsport High School in 1948. She was employed by the Grit Publishing Co. and L.L. Stearns and Sons Department Store and is a homemaker.

Mr. Shaner, a native of Montoursville, is the son of the late Carrie and Ralph Shaner. He graduated from Montoursville High School in 1946. He was a partner of the Weaver Shaner Grocery Store, Montoursville, and was employed for 32 years by E. Keeler and Keeler Hoff Supply Co. as an industrial salesman.
They are the parents of two daughters, Luann McCallin and Linda Sands.
There are three grandchildren and one great-grandchild.
In honor of their anniversary, a family dinner is being planned.
