Eleanor M. Magargle, 76, passed away Thursday, Aug. 2, 2012, at the Muncy Valley Skilled Nursing Unit where she has been residing for the last 4 years.
Born in Bloomsburg, on May 24, 1936, she was the daughter of the late Jesse C. and Lois (Girard) Temple.
On March 27, 1962, she married Jesse L. Magargle and together, they had celebrated 39 years of marriage until his death, Dec. 17, 2000.
Eleanor was a homemaker and resided in Danville most of her married life. She greatly enjoyed car rides with her husband, and spending time with family.
Surviving are; a son, Timothy L. Magargle of Maryland; two daughters and sons-in-law, Barbara A. Kitka and her husband Andrew and Betty A. Lunger and her husband Tobias, all of Hughesville; three sisters, Della James, New Columbia, Shirly Wodrig, Benton and Edna Mae Shambach, Hughesville. Also surviving are six grandchildren, eight great-grandchildren, and one stepgrandson.
Preceding her in death besides her husband were a son, Robert Leo Rider, 1970; sister, Mary Helen, 2012; and stepgrandson, Matthew Kitka, July 4, 2012.
Friends are invited to call Monday, August 6 from 10 to 11 a.m. at Brooks Funeral Home, 207 Broadway St., Turbotville, where the funeral service will be held at 11 a.m. with Rev. James Savage, officiating. Burial will follow in Muncy Cemetery, Muncy.
