Aug. 11 - 1700s Pioneer Family Camp, 2-4 p.m. and 6-8 p.m. Learn what life might have been like for families in the 1700s and the crafts that were a daily task for them. Demonstrations may include how to make hand dipped candles, dutch oven cooking, dutch oven baking, fire starting with flint and steel, spinning, blacksmithing and much more. Displays include items such as cone sugar, block tea, blood-letting bowl, toaster, trivets, reflector oven, fireplace set with tools and many other items. Program presented by Longknife (Mel) and Manyhands (Darlene) Stafford.

Aug. 11 - Beavers on Ice, 9-10 p.m.

Aug. 12 - Dutch Oven Doughnuts Hands-on Workshop, 10-11:30 a.m. Help make doughnuts the real old-fashioned way. Children must be accompanied by an adult. Program presented by Longknife (Mel) and Manyhands (Darlene) Stafford. Free doughnuts as supplies last.

Aug. 5 and Aug. 19 - Interpretive Pontoon Boat Tour, noon-4 p.m. boat launch. Advance reservations are recommended and may be made by calling the park office. Rides begin at noon, 1:30 and 3 p.m.

Aug. 7 - For Goodness Snakes, 11 a.m.-noon, visitor center. Ideal for ages 7-12.

Aug. 7 - Tree Walk and Leaf Prints, 2-3 p.m, visitor center. Bring a T-shirt or other cotton item for a craft activity.

Aug. 8 - Field Trip to Loyalsock State Forest Conservation Ponds, 9-11:30 a.m., visitor center. Bring or borrow binoculars. Involves about a mile of easy walking.

Aug. 8 - Going In-Seine, 2-3 p.m., Double Run Nature Trail. Wear old shoes.
