David Woodruff Williams Jr., 31, of Mill Hall, has been charged by Old Lycoming Township police with simple assault and harassment for allegedly striking Carlie Thomas in the 3600 block of Dewey Avenue Extension about 3 p.m. last Monday.
Thomas was was treated ant the Williamsport Regional Medical Center for a facial injury.
Following his arraignment later that day before District Judge James H. Sortman, Williams was committed to the Lycoming County Prison in lieu of $7,500 bail.
