Strobel's to offer classes
Strobel's Sewing Center, 201 Basin St., will hold the following classes in August.
Aug. 13, 1 to 3:30 p.m., 27, 6 to 8:30 p.m. - My Garden Album quilt class. Learn to create an applique block.
Aug. 20, 6 to 8:30 p.m. - Dear Jane Quilters classs. Gather to hand piece a replica of Jane A. Stickle quilt from 1863. Learn hand piecing and hand applique.

Relay team to hold event
JERSEY SHORE - A dip-n-dance event will be held from 7 to 9 p.m. Friday at the Jersey Shore Pool.
Jersey Shore Hospital is organizing the swimming and dancing event as a fundraiser for the Relay For Life of Jersey Shore.
Cost for the event is $5 for the first entry and $3 for every subsequent entry in your group.
Live music, hot dogs and more will be available.

Park to offer family day
HUGHESVILLE - Lime Bluff Park will hold Family Day from 10 a.m. to 3 p.m. Saturday.
Activities will include DJ John Haught, an antique car show, a pet parade, bocce ball, horseshoe and disc golf tournament.
There also will be displays from the Hughesville Fire Department and the Society for the Prevention of Cruelty to Animals.
