Lois E. Myers, 85, Watsontown, passed away Monday, Aug. 6, 2012, at The Williamsport Home.
She was born in the one room school house at the corner of Musser Lane and Route 54, Delaware Township, on Aug. 6, 1927; she was the daughter of the late Walter T. and Florence H. Welsh Zarr. She was married to W. Eugene Myers Sr. for 53 years until his death, April 3, 2000.
Lois was a graduate of Watsontown High School, class of 1945 and attended the St. Johns Lutheran Church, Delaware Run. For many years she helped at the Apple Hill Farm Orchard, Muncy and loved flowers, reading, puzzles and her cat. She also enjoyed canning, baking, sewing and being a home maker.
Surviving are sons, W. Eugene (Brenda) "Chuck" Myers Jr. of Montgomery and Wayne E. (Kathy Foreman) Myers of Muncy and sister-in-law, Mivian Zarr of Somerdale.
She was predeceased by a brother, John W. Zarr.
Friends are invited to call from 10 to 11 a.m. on Friday, Aug. 10, 2012, at Brooks Funeral Home, 124 Main St., Watsontown, where a funeral service will be held at 11 a.m. with the Rev. Jill Seagle officiating. Burial will follow in Green Lawn Memorial Park, Montgomery.
