Carl A. Ardabell II, 71, of Williamsport, died Sunday, Aug. 5, 2012, at home surrounded by his family.
Born Aug. 17, 1940, in Uledi, Pa., he was a son of Carl and Jane Mundell Ardabell.
Carl was a veteran of the U.S. Navy, U.S. Army and the Army Reserves. He was a former police officer for the City of Williamsport, and a correction officer for Lycoming County and the Pennsylvania State Prison systems.

Carl enjoyed building cars, riding motorcycles and fishing. He was the founder of PA Angels on Wheels car club.
He is survived by his soul mate of 18 years, Dorothy (McNett) Ardabell; his children, Donna (Russell) Price of Williamsport, Debra (Robert) Schaefer of Jersey Shore, Carl (Kathy) Ardabell Jr. of Nisbet, April (Jeff) Kaltenbach of New Columbia, Charles Smith of Pennsdale; seven grandchildren; 12 great-grandchildren; and a brother-in-law, Ralph Johnson of Chambersburg.
He was preceded in death by a sister, Rose Marie Johnson.
Carl's life celebration will begin at 10 a.m. on Saturday at his home, 1909 W. Third St., Williamsport. The Korean War Veterans of Lycoming County will hold military honors at 1 p.m.
MC attire is permissible.
