James C. Summerson, 62, of Linden, died on Tuesday, Aug. 7, 2012, at Williamsport Regional Medical Center.
Born Oct. 20, 1949, in Renovo, he was a son of Calvin C. and Nina E. (Burns) Summerson. He married Nancy L. Smith and would have celebrated 44 years together on December 14.
James graduated from Bucktail High School in 1968. He was a Navy veteran of the Vietnam war and worked for 24 years at L & L Boiler Maintenance. James was a member of The Door Fellowship. He enjoyed hunting, fishing, gardening, woodworking and going to his cabin in Renovo.

Surviving, in addition to his wife, are a son, David Summerson of Benton; and a brother, Terry Summerson of Venus, Fla.
He was preceded in death by his parents and brother, Jan Summerson.
A funeral service will be held 11 a.m. Saturday, August 11, at The Door Fellowship, 470 Pine St., Williamsport. Visitation will be from 9 to 11 a.m. at the church. Burial will be held at North Bend Cemetery at the convenience of the family.
