Since every four years the Olympics is underway at the same time as the presidential politics is ramping up, it is timely to make a comparative analogy.
Four years ago, Obama campaigned that he was an Olympic swimmer, able to bring home the gold medal for the USA. He convinced everybody how good of a swimmer he was compared to any other competitor. He bragged like the medals he would win were a sure thing if only he could just get into the pool and prove it. The problem is that most people didn't even check to see if he could swim! They just took his word for it. Little did anyone know until it was too late, that he could only dog paddle!
That is all Obama has been able to do for the past four years dog paddle. Of course, when anyone states the obvious, that dog paddling is not an Olympic sport, Obama tries to defend himself by saying that it is not his fault that dog paddling is not an Olympic sport! He thinks America should fundamentally change Olympic swimming to include dog paddling, so he could get the recognition he deserves! As far as he is concerned he is still swimming, and that is all that counts.
He is still moving forward! Still going in the right direction! It is taking longer than he promised. It is taking longer than he hoped. But if you would just let him go to the next Olympics he will dog paddle faster! He only wants to know where is his medal?
It is time to tell Obama to get out of the pool! It is time to stop with the dog paddling. It is time to put an experienced swimmer in the pool and send Romney to the Olympics. It is time to put an Olympic swimmer in the pool. It is time to put Romney, who already knows how to swim, in the pool in Obama's place! At least Romney knows more effective swimming strokes to have a better chance of bringing home the gold.
