Cutters win fourth straight

Williamsport scored four runs in the final two innings as the Crosscutters won their fourth consecutive game, 5-4, over Batavia.

Trailing by a run in the ninth inning, Chace Numata homered off of Yunier Castillo to lead off the inning and tie the game at 5-5. Two batters later Tyler Greene tripled and Roman Quinn followed with a sacrifice fly to give the Cutters a 5-4 lead. Geoff Broussard pitched two scoreless innings for his second win.

Cameron Perkins led Williamsport's 11-hit attack with a 4 for 4 night, a career high in hits. Quinn and Greene each had a pair of hits for Williamsport. Chris Serritella hit a key two-run double for the Cutters in the eighth inning to get within a run.

Josh Warner threw five great innings, allowing just four hits and one run. He struck out two and walked two.
