Much of Newberry experienced low water pressure on Sunday, due to an issue at the "west plant," where workers are doing ongoing construction, according to Walter Nicholson, director of operations for the Williamsport Sanitary Authority.
"We had a main break in the valve, or a fitting got loose," Nicholson said.
A crew worked late into the evening, trying to fix the problem. According to Nicholson, the first priority was to close off the main valve.
"Residents should have their pressure restored soon after that valve is closed off," he said.
