William O. Buck, 91, died Saturday, Aug. 11, 2012, at the Rose View Center following an extended illness.
Bill's wife, the former Doris B. Kiper, died March 11, 2011.
Bill was an Army veteran of World War II and retired from Syntex Fabrics after 40 years of service.

Born April 25, 1921, in Danville, he was the son of Albert and Mamie Buck.
Surviving are sons, Richard (Annie) Wright, of Williamsport, Robert (Janet) Wright, of Montoursville, Jeff (Betty) Buck, of Cogan Station, William (Joyce) Buck and Jon (Patricia) Buck, both of Williamsport; daughters, Sylvia Ann (John) Confer, Sharon Butler and Judith (Larry) Packard, all of Williamsport, and Coral (Dennis) Smiley, in Missouri; 27 grandchildren; 40 great-grandchildren; and 12 great-great-grandchildren.
In keeping with the wishes of the deceased there will be no services.
The family suggests contributions in Bill's name may be made to the SPCA, 2805 Reach Road, Williamsport, PA 17701.
