The Fall 2012 Senior Health and Lifestyle Expos will be held in Lewisburg at the Silvermoon Banquet Hall on Oct. 2 and in Bloomsburg at the Fairgrounds Industrial Arts Building on Oct. 23.
Representatives of the top companies that provide products and services of interest to folks 40 and older will be on hand to answer questions and provide the latest information to visitors.
The fun begins at 7:30 a.m. with a free "Early Bird Breakfast" provided by Weis Markets in the Boomers Cafe and Lounge. Lunch will be served from 10 a.m. to 1 p.m.
Miss Pennsylvania 2012, Jordyn Colao, is the guest hostess and will be on hand to meet and greet all visitors.
Prior to her crowning, she was the reigning Miss Freedom Forge when she won the state crown. The 2012 graduate of Penn State University will represent Pennsylvania at the Miss America 2013 pageant in January in Las Vegas.
More than 20 Senior Health and Lifestyle Expos have been held for more than five years in Lewisburg and Bloomsburg and have attracted thousands of visitors from all over Central Pennsylvania, many who have returned several times to enjoy the exciting program.
The expo also features free seminars on the topics that concern seniors the most: Health and Estate Planning will be featured at the Fall Expos. Free health screenings and flu shots will be available.
Entertainment will be provided by singer-songwriter KJ, who will perform folk music and songs that all visitors love and remember.
The drawings for prizes will be conducted by Miss Pennsylvania and awarded at the expo.
Exhibitors also will offer booth drawings for useful gifts and prizes and have lots of free goodies to take home.
Guests who register by noon will be entered into a drawing for $100 cash prize drawn by Miss Pennsylvania at 1 p.m.
