Unfortunate

August 16, 2012
Williamsport Sun-Gazette

The column from Betsy Rider talking of her religious beliefs, especially for a Catholic, was a show of ignorance of scriptural fact, and failure to comply with the teachings of a church she maintains she belongs to.

The male-female argument concerning the "sex" of God goes all the way back to Helen Reddy and "I am Woman." And, no hell? Where do the evil doers go? Again, consult the Sacred Scriptures to find the answer.

God the Father sent His Only Begotten Son into the world to die on the cross and open the gates of heaven, which had previously been closed to mankind.

Not everyone will be saved. See the Bible for the answer to this, also.

A "cafeteria-style" religious stance is unfortunate and is practiced by many today.
