James P. McNamee Jr., 51, of Williamsport, died Friday, Aug. 17, 2012, at home.
He was born in Williamsport on Jan. 11, 1961, the son of James P. McNamee Sr. and Ann M. Hardin. James was a member of St. Joseph the Worker Parish and was a graduate of the former Bishop Neumann High School. He loved music, going to the family farm in Cascade, Pa., and jogging.
Surviving, besides his mother, Ann M. of Williamsport, are his brother and sisters, Mary Ann (Brian) Hollenbach of Cogan Station, Pa., Thomas C. (Alisia) McNamee and Kathryn M. McNamee, both of Montoursville. He was also survived by nieces and nephews, Kristin Hollenbach of Conshohoken, Pa., Trisha (Brent) Temple of South Williamsport, Frankie, Dylan and Brennan Casale of Montoursville, Shayna and Ryan McNamee, also of Montoursville; aunts and uncle, Charles and Carol McNamee of this city and Sarah Hardin of Camp Hill, Pa.; as well as several cousins.
James was preceded in death by his father, James P. Sr in January of 2010.
A Mass of Christian Burial will be held in St. Joseph the Worker Parish, 702 W. Fourth St., Williamsport, on Tuesday morning at 10 a.m. Friends may call at the church portico on Tuesday from 9 to 10 a.m. Burial will be in Wildwood Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the Susquehanna Health Cancer Center C/O Susquehanna Health Foundation, 1001 Grampian Blvd., Williamsport, or to the Susquehanna Home Care and Hospice C/O Susquehanna Health Foundation, 1001 Grampian Blvd., Williamsport, PA 17701.
