A fugitive who listed his address as Williamsport who allegedly trafficked cocaine and marijuana in the Jersey Shore area for four years was jailed Saturday after getting picked up on a state police warrant and arraigned by a district judge, who set bail at $500,000.
William Frederick Weller, 46, of 1515 Scott St., was arraigned by District Judge Gary Whiteman on seven counts of conspiracy of manufacturing, delivering and possession with intent to deliver controlled substances, 11 counts of manufacturing, delivering and possession with intent to deliver drugs and one count of criminal use of a communications device.
Weller was wanted on the arrest warrant issued through a cooperative investigation with the state attorney general's office. It appears Weller fled the area some time during the impanelment of a state grand jury and was picked up in Luzerne County after he appeared in an interview and police ran his name finding he was wanted in Lycoming County on the drug-related charges.
The allegations contained therein indicated he trafficked in drugs from June 2007 through June 2011. His arrest warrant indicated he lived at 28 Corey Lane, Mifflin Township, but the arraignment indicated he lived in the city.
Weller was wanted on the grand jury presentment describing the allegation of drug trafficking in the Jersey Shore and Salladasburg areas.
Weller remains incarcerated in Lycoming County Prison.
