Caroline E. "Tippy" Clees, 95, of 406 Mayer Ave., Montoursville, Pa., passed away Aug. 17, 2012 at Manor Care South.
Born Feb. 8, 1917, in Williamsport, a daughter of Harry and Mary Smith Mosso.
Caroline was a homemaker and a member of Bethany Lutheran Church and its Rainbow Circle.
She is survived by two sons, Frederick C. (Sharon) Clees and William I. (Julia) Clees, both of Montoursville; one daughter, Barbara A. Clark of Montoursville; nine grandchildren, Arthur III (Elaine) Clark, Susan Germain, M. Todd Clark, Ashley (Eric) Roman, Sarah (Aaron), Meredith (Kevin), Ashley, Billy and Natalie; four great-grandchildren, Ryan and Andrew Germain and Zac and Abbie Clark.
She was preceded by her husband, Irvin C. in 1984 and brothers and sisters, John, Thomas, Norma, Harriet, Geraldine, Ruth, Maryann, Laura, Joseph and Mabel.
The funeral service will be 10:30 a.m. Wednesday, Aug. 22, 2012, at Spitler Funeral Home, 733 Broad St., Montoursville, with Rev. David B. Letscher officiating. Burial will follow in the Montoursville Cemetery. Friends will be received from 6 to 8 p.m. Tuesday evening at the funeral home.
