I read in the Aug. 15 edition of the paper that Lycoming County is getting a truck to be able to weigh overweight trucks.
The article stated that now the fines are totaling $85,000 a month and that the new vehicle will cost $75,000.
However, it will take 3 to 5 years before the vehicle pays for itself? Three to 5 years would net $3,000,000 to $5,000,000, so how much does the truck really cost? Or where is the remainder of the monies going if not to pay off the new truck?
